This antique Tabriz carpet, measuring 262 × 342 cm (8'7" × 11'3") with a surface area of 8.97 m² (96.55 ft²), unfolds like a tableau of imagined blossoms, adorning the space with beauty and poise. With an all-over design and classic floral motifs, its polychrome palette is harmonized across a calm field and a beige border, reaching a poised balance. Thuluth script is employed within the field and border. Owing to its composed, dignified structure, Thuluth has been used largely for the ornamentation of books, inscriptions, and monuments; in Iran, it has served for titles of frontispieces, epigraphs, tilework, and at times on carpets. Soft, high-quality wool is woven with a cotton warp to bring durability and beauty together. The knot density is approximately 2,500 knots/dm², reflecting the Tabriz artisan’s discipline—work formed not in haste but in contemplation, with each knot recalling an age-old tradition. Though the designer’s name is not present, the work itself speaks eloquently of taste and craftsmanship. This carpet is not only a floor covering but a piece of cultural identity—an ideal choice for stately interiors seeking a link between authenticity, serenity, and refined Iranian beauty. It is a carpet to behold, to live with, and to touch—history made tangible.
