Ahad Azimzadeh, Founder
From his youth—and despite difficult living conditions—Ahad Azimzadeh carried a grand vision. At the age of 14, he began his commercial journey by selling small rugs. In the 1350s (Iranian calendar), with modest capital and remarkable perseverance, he established his first carpet-weaving workshop. His pivotal trip to Germany in 1356 marked a turning point, where, through a precise understanding of international market needs, he embarked on exporting and producing collections tailored to global tastes.
The World’s Largest Handwoven Carpet
The result of this global approach—and constant investment in quality and innovation—was the creation of the world’s largest and most luxurious handwoven carpet: a masterpiece with an area of “2,000 square meters,” more than “1,377,000,000 knots,” woven in a noble blend of silk and kork wool, and achieved through “seven years” of work by “230” distinguished Tabrizi artisans. This unparalleled work once again resonated the name of Persian carpets on the international stage.
Global Honors
Over its journey, Azimzadeh Carpets has earned numerous accolades, including the diamond statue as the “World’s Largest Trader” and the Frankfurt Diamond for Management and Quality in 1383, as well as the golden statue for the “Best Producer of Iranian Handwoven Carpets” from England in 1388. Beyond the carpet industry, Ahad Azimzadeh has made significant investments in tourism—most notably the landmark “Ghoo Morvarid of the Middle East” project in Salman Shahr.
Dubai Branch
Since 2023, Azimzadeh Carpets has operated its UAE branch in Dubai under the management of Mr. Ali Azimzadeh. Offering a wide range of handwoven and machine-made carpets both in-store and online, the branch serves customers across the UAE and other countries.
