This handwoven Qom rug measures 78 × 120 cm (2'7" × 3'11") and has an area of 0.94 m² (10.12 ft²). Woven in all-silk under the “Kazemi” brand with a knot density of 10,000 knots/dm², it embodies a fusion of tradition with contemporary taste. The medallion-and-corner design, with symmetrical, flower-sprinkled ornaments, presents a harmony of geometric order and the softness of nature on a turquoise ground. Within the central medallion, two dynamically rendered horses appear; the horse symbolizes purity and freedom, while the brown horse symbolizes inner forces and untamed energy. An entwined tree bearing large clusters of red roses is woven at the medallion’s center. Arabesque motifs and curvilinear forms animate the background, attesting to roots in Persian miniature and traditional decorative arts. A crimson border adds a beautiful contrast to the turquoise field. The interplay of these two colors, together with the silken handle and floral ornament, creates a visually delicate and captivating presence.
