This handwoven Sarakhs rug measures 140 × 196 cm (4'7" × 6'5") with an area of 2.75 m² (29.60 ft²). It is woven in a medallion design. This all-silk piece has a weaving density of approximately 3,200 knots/dm². The medallion layout together with the boteh (paisley) motif is an embodiment of Eastern identity. The design approach and the arrangement of motifs within the warp and weft impart a distinctive sense of depth to the piece. The central medallion is encircled by lines inspired by traditional boteh forms, presenting a dialogue of energy and stillness within a symmetrical frame. A multicolored field, with its play of varied tones, gives the rug a lively, dynamic presence, while the jade-green border softly frames it with fresh elegance. This rug is not only the handiwork of skilled Sarakhs weavers, but also a visual document of reimagined authenticity in a new, radiant form.
