This handwoven Sirjan kilim rug in a kheshti (compartment) design measures 160 × 102 cm (5'3" × 3'4") and has an area of 1.64 m² (17.65 ft²). Woven in all-wool with natural fibers and a weaving density of approximately 2,500 knots/dm², it conveys warmth, durability, and a nature-friendly character—more than merely functional, it carries the life and honest spirit of the countryside. The kheshti layout—one of the oldest geometric patterns in Iranian weaving—arranges orderly panels like small windows opening onto a symbolic flower garden. The floral motifs within each compartment evoke the living nature of the desert, where the Sirjan artisan, with an imaginative eye, has lifted blossoms from the earth and entrusted them to the warp and weft. A cream ground instills calm and balance, while the claret border adds visual solidity; together with the motifs, they create a warm, authentic equilibrium. This color harmony, alongside the symmetrical paneling, offers a pleasing balance between tradition and contemporary utility.
