This Sirjan handmade kilim-rug measures 120 × 150 cm (3'11" × 4'11") with an area of 1.8 m² (19.38 ft²). Woven in all-wool at approximately 3,200 knots/dm², it offers a balanced blend of finesse and durability. The kheshti (panel) design brings together orderly geometric forms with symmetrical, balanced motifs—birds, animals, trees, and flowers—each depicted within framed compartments. A madder-red field pairs with blue borders to create visual equilibrium; this palette lifts the rug beyond uniformity and imparts a sense of depth and meaning. Its all-wool construction holds a special place both for the weave’s softness and strength, and for its authenticity.
