This Sirjan kilim rug, measuring 80 × 115 cm (2'7" × 3'9") with an area of 0.92 m² (9.90 ft²), is woven in a khesti (panel) design. Its weaving density is approximately 2,500 knots/dm², indicating cohesive construction and the weaver’s skill. The khesti structure, derived from traditional Iranian garden planning, gives the piece an ordered, proportionate layout. Each panel provides an independent, well-organized space for geometric motifs that are expertly arranged side by side. A deep madder-red ground conveys warmth and a distinctive sense of Eastern grandeur, while the jade-green border gently balances this chromatic intensity and enhances its poise.
