Handwoven Sirjan kilim rug, 80 × 120 cm (2'7" × 3'11"), with an area of 0.96 m² (10.33 ft²). Woven at approximately 2,500 knots/dm². The kheshti (panel) design presents diverse geometric motifs laid out like orderly windows over a world of balance and color. Each panel contains a universe of rhythmic repetitions and native forms rooted in Iranian beliefs and traditional architecture. A cream field paired with a light-beige border imparts a pleasant sense of calm and coordinates easily with a range of interior styles. This piece is woven entirely in natural, all-wool fibers.
