This handwoven Sirjan kilim rug in a tree design measures 100 × 150 cm (3'3" × 4'11") and has an area of 1.5 m² (16.15 ft²). With a weaving density of approximately 3,200 knots/dm² and an all-wool construction, its cohesive and appealing weave reflects the skill of successive generations of Sirjan artisans. The tree motif—one of the longstanding and symbolic structures in Iranian carpet art—places the tree of life at the center as an emblem of growth, endurance, and the link between earth and sky. Amid the branches and leaves, birds appear as if singing in an eternal spring. This composition not only represents the beauty of nature but also mirrors the Iranian artist’s spiritual, symbolic view of the surrounding world. An olive ground lends a warm, earthy depth evocative of a garden in pristine southern landscapes, while a beige border gently frames and unifies the whole. As an all-wool piece, the kilim offers both resilience and a pleasing softness—comfortable underfoot and, like a work of art, capable of transforming the spirit of a space.
