This handwoven Sirjan kilim rug is woven in a tree design, measuring 106 × 152 cm (3'6" × 5'0") with an area of 1.62 m² (17.44 ft²). Made in Sirjan, it is produced at a knot density of approximately 2500 knots/dm² and crafted in all-wool for a naturally soft yet durable handle. On a soft blue field, the tree motif unfolds; the cypress, a symbol of freedom with deep roots in Iranian beliefs and culture, brings a lyrical spirit that contrasts with common geometric structures. Inspired by Persian garden aesthetics, the composition conveys a sense of hope, continuity, and calm. A lac-red border frames the field like a warm, protective surround, creating an artful contrast with the blue ground. The thoughtful color pairing reflects the color sensibility of Sirjan artisans, uniting beauty with a lived philosophy throughout the weave.
