This handwoven Tabriz rug woven with kork wool and silk highlights, measuring 185 × 273 cm (6'1" × 8'11") with an area of 5.06 m² (54.49 ft²), serves as a visual narration of the concept of “Four Seasons”—a theme that has always held a special place in Iranian mythology and nature, and is rendered here in a poetic manner. Its knot density of approximately 5,100 knots/dm² reflects an orderly and precise weaving. The all-over pictorial design of the rug presents a harmonious portrayal of life: from the blossoming of spring to the serenity of winter, all interwoven through masterful lines. The use of kork wool enriched with the natural sheen and softness of silk, along with a cotton warp, has created a stable and elegant structure whose touch resembles the caress of a breeze on silken leaves. Along the border, images of Iranian kings and poets are depicted. The varied colors in the field, delicately balanced with a navy-blue border, result in a composition that achieves visual depth and harmony. Each knot, patiently and skillfully tied, recounts a story of nature and art.
