In the authentic and renowned workshops of Qom, a city whose name is intertwined with the delicacy of silk rug weaving, an all-silk masterpiece has been created. Measuring 100 × 150 cm (3'3" × 4'11") with an area of 1.5 m² (16.15 ft²), it reflects the pinnacle of artistry and precision of Qom’s weavers. This unique example of fine weaving, produced under the “Hossein Mohammadi” brand, reaches a weaving density of approximately 11,500 knots/dm², a level that testifies to extraordinary patience and mastery. The medallion-and-corner design in this rug is executed with a sophisticated blend of floral and arabesque motifs. Its rich and diverse palette, like a vibrant garden, radiates freshness and vitality, captivating every gaze. A distinctive feature of this piece lies in the unique patterns woven into both field and borders: European floral motifs (gol farang) intertwined with arabesque forms evoke the delicacy of Persian miniature painting; spiral and solar motifs, symbolizing the galaxy, represent depth and infinity; and above all, the depiction of Saturn in the borders conveys a symbolic connection between mankind, earth, and the cosmos. This rug is not merely a precious handwoven textile but rather a manifestation of imagination and elevated thought.
