A handwoven all-silk rug from Qom, measuring 100 × 153 cm (3'3" × 5'0") with an area of 1.53 m² (16.47 ft²), that at first glance captivates the viewer with the sparkle of its colors and perfect harmony of motifs. Woven for the “Razavi” brand at a very fine density of approximately 13,000 knots/dm², this exemplary piece in the classic medallion-and-corner design blossoms on a rich crimson field with an Iranian splendor seen through a contemporary lens. Delicately rendered floral motifs inhabit the corners and central medallion, as if a vivid garden has blossomed in the crimson night. The coordination between the field and the matching border lends the rug visual cohesion and a stately poise, while secondary tones and subtle shading infuse a gentle dynamism throughout the composition.
