This handwoven Qom rug measures 76 × 120 cm (2'6" × 3'11") and has an area of 0.92 m² (9.90 ft²). Under the “Kazemi” brand, woven in all-silk with a knot density of 10,000 knots/dm², it stands as a reflection of Iranian carpet-weaving artistry. The authentic medallion-and-corner design, with richly worked and symmetrical flowers, is set on a turquoise ground. In the central medallion, two horses with dynamic bodies are depicted; the horse symbolizes purity and freedom, and the brown horse symbolizes inner forces and untamed energy. An entwined tree with large clusters of red roses appears at the center of the medallion. Arabesque motifs and curvilinear forms in the background point to roots in Persian miniature and traditional decorative arts. A brown border, in intelligent contrast with the ground, lends a classic character to the piece and completes the rug’s visual framing.
