This Sirjan kilim rug, measuring 85 × 130 cm (2'9" × 4'3") with an area of 1.11 m² (11.95 ft²), is woven in a khesti (panel) design. Its weaving density is approximately 2,500 knots/dm², preserving precision and cohesion within the weave and presenting the motifs with a dense, balanced structure. The khesti layout used here is founded on order and proportion. A deep navy ground provides a calm, resonant depth for the splendor of the motifs, while the cream border, like a golden frame, draws a subtle boundary between the design and its surroundings. The all-wool construction not only ensures durability, softness, and natural warmth, but also reflects respect for nature and the use of local materials in Iranian kilim artistry.
