200 x 300 cm Hand-Knotted Carpets
This is the size we sell most of, and it is not a coincidence. Two metres by three fits the living room of most Dubai apartments and a great many villa reception rooms, which is why it has become the default.
Will it fit your room?
For a 200 x 300 cm rug to look right, your room wants to be roughly 3.2 x 4.2 metres or larger, leaving 50 to 60 cm of visible floor around the rug. In a seating arrangement, this size will comfortably take a three-seat sofa with the front legs on the rug plus a coffee table, and usually two armchairs facing.
If your room is larger than about 4.5 x 5.5 metres, go up to 250 x 350 cm — a 200 x 300 in a big room reads as a mat floating in the middle of the floor, which is the single most common sizing error we see.

Every piece here is hand-knotted, spanning wool, wool and silk, and full silk, from tribal weaves through to fine city workshop carpets. Because dimensions in hand weaving are never exact, sizes here range roughly from 195 x 290 to 210 x 310 cm — each product page gives the actual measurement.
