This all-silk handwoven Qom rug in a medallion-and-corner design is a standout example of fine weaving; with a fineness of ≈ 13,000 knots/dm², it speaks to exceptional precision and skill. Woven under the “Baharestan Moharreri” brand, it measures 80 × 116 cm (2'7" × 3'10") and has an area of 0.93 m² (10.01 ft²). The medallion-and-corner scheme features dancing blossoms, boteh (paisley) in the corner spandrels, and swirling Khata’i leaves in the central field, creating a world of balance and order in color—like a perfectly symmetrical garden where every flower adorns the rug with its own melody. A copper ground evokes warmth and traditional richness, while the black border lends dignity and visual depth. Together with the natural sheen of silk, this pairing forms a harmony of light, shadow, and authenticity that is rarely encountered.
