This handwoven Qom rug in a medallion-and-corner design measures 58 × 89 cm (1'11" × 2'11") and has an area of 0.52 m² (5.60 ft²). Produced under the “Samadi” brand with an all-silk construction and a weaving density of approximately 10,000 knots/dm², it attests to the weaver’s skill and precision. The use of silk across all components lends the piece a soft handle and luminous sheen. Here, the medallion-and-corner scheme, with its orderly structure and classical balance, conveys symmetry and traditional grandeur. The central medallion, accompanied by colorful, intricate floral sprays, sits on a crimson ground with a blue border. This rare palette imparts an authentic yet fresh character, setting the rug apart from many similar works.
