In the city of Qom, long celebrated as the cradle of Iran’s finest and most delicate silk rugs, a dazzling masterpiece has been created under the name of the Sadeghi rug brand. Woven in the authentic medallion-and-corner design, every knot of this rug reflects the taste, patience, and pure artistry of Iranian craftsmanship. This all-silk rug, measuring 102 × 154 cm (3'4" × 5'1") with an area of 1.58 m² (17.01 ft²), stands among the rare examples of Qom silk carpets. With a weaving density of about 11,400 knots/dm², it showcases precision and finesse at the highest level—tiny and delicate knots, the result of skillful hands and discerning eyes. The rich, glowing madder-red field, imbued with a regal aura, forms an ideal backdrop for the central medallion and its symmetrical corner spandrels. The medallion, crafted with admirable refinement, anchors the viewer’s gaze, while the harmoniously arranged corners come alive with flawless balance. Floral motifs, rendered with delicate detailing and harmonious colors, spread across the crimson field like a gentle spring breeze. The border, matched in color with the field, is a bold and artistic choice that enhances the rug’s unity and grandeur. The use of silk contributes not only to softness but also to its radiant sheen and enduring quality. A rug from Qom, created for those who seek beauty in the depth of color, the harmony of design, and the refinement of weave; a creation that adorns not only the floor but also the heart.
