This handwoven rug from Qom, measuring 103 × 154 cm (3'5" × 5'1") with an area of approximately 1.6 m² (17.22 ft²), is woven in a medallion-and-corner design. With a weaving density of about 10,000 knots/dm², it reflects the unparalleled mastery of hands that, with patience and precision, brought it to life. Crafted under the “Baharestan Mehrari” brand, this rug has reached a level of artistic value rarely found outside of unique and exclusive collections. The medallion-and-corner composition, enriched with harmonious floral motifs, presents a striking balance and symmetry rooted in Persian aesthetics. At the center, the medallion shines like a radiant sun, surrounded by delicate spandrels and lively floral sprays. The cream-colored field, with its natural softness, provides a calm backdrop for the motifs, while the blue-toned border adds a sense of depth and dignity to the piece.
