In the city of Qom, where the art of carpet weaving has reached its peak of refinement and silk in the hands of artisans transforms into a visual narrative, an exceptional and eye-catching masterpiece has emerged: an all-silk rug with dazzling fineness and an all-over design full of vitality and dynamism. This rug measures 96 × 156 cm (3'2" × 5'1") with an area of 1.5 m² (16.15 ft²), woven at a very high and precise density of 10,000 knots/dm², which stands as clear testimony to its supreme delicacy, structural cohesion, and unique quality. Created under the “Ferdows” brand and woven entirely of silk, its arrangement of varied colors imparts brilliance and liveliness, revealing depth and motion in the motifs with every shift of light. Within this garden of imagination, two magnificent parrots capture the eye: one soaring with open wings, symbolizing freedom and the majesty of the skies, and the other perched on an imaginary branch. This intelligent composition unites motion and stillness, vitality and contemplation, within a single frame. A rug well-suited for collectors of Oriental art.
