This handwoven Isfahan rug, measuring 153 × 238 cm (5'0" × 7'10") with an area of 3.65 m² (39.29 ft²), features a medallion-and-corner design. The weaving density is approximately 11,400 knots/dm². Produced by the Seirafian brand— a commercial name in Isfahan carpets founded by the late Haj Agha Reza Seirafian Por, a highly reputable money-changer in the Isfahan bazaar—Seirafian carpets are regarded among the most exquisite and beloved Iranian rugs, with two pieces held in Niavaran Palace in Tehran and one piece at the United Nations. The medallion-and-corner layout achieves a striking composition at the apex of symmetry and balance.
