This handwoven Sirjan kilim rug, measuring 85 × 120 cm (2'9" × 3'11") with an area of 1.02 m² (10.98 ft²), is woven in a khesti (panel) design. Made in an all-wool construction, its weaving density is approximately 2,500 knots/dm². The khesti layout used in this kilim is inspired by the order of Iranian architecture. A madder-red ground, paired with a cream border, creates a measured and balanced contrast that enhances the rug’s beauty. The use of natural wool, in addition to durability, brings a sense of warmth and intimacy to the space.
