How to Buy a Persian Carpet from Azimzadeh: Showroom, Online, Home Trial and Delivery
Buying a handmade carpet is a considered purchase, and there is more than one way to do it with us. You can visit our Dubai showroom, order online at azimzadeh.ae, talk to us on WhatsApp, or have carpets brought to your home to try first. This guide walks through each step, from measuring your room to receiving your certificate.
In short: measure your room, choose online, in the showroom or over WhatsApp, try up to four carpets at home if you wish, pay by card, cash on delivery or Tabby and Tamara instalments, and receive free delivery anywhere in the UAE on orders over AED 150. Every handmade carpet comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Step 1: Measure and gather a few details
The most useful things you can bring to a conversation about a carpet are:
- The room's dimensions, or a floor plan.
- Photographs of the space, including the furniture and flooring.
- How the room is used: a formal majlis, a family living room, a bedroom, an office or a hotel lobby.
- Your preferred style and colours, and an idea of your budget.
Not sure what size you need? Our Persian rug size guide explains the common sizes and how to measure. If you have no measurements yet, a home visit or a Home Trial can help (see Step 3).
Step 2: Choose your carpet
Online
Browse our handmade carpets or machine-made carpets and filter by size, material, design and colour. Each product page lists the weaving centre, design, materials, measured dimensions and product code.
In the showroom
Our showroom is on Umm Suqeim Street in Al Barsha 2, Dubai, and is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Seeing carpets side by side is the clearest way to understand the difference between a Tabriz and a Qom, or between full silk and wool with silk highlights. Our team will ask about your room first, then show you carpets that suit it and explain the differences between them.
On WhatsApp
Send us your room dimensions and a few photographs on WhatsApp, and we will reply with suitable options, photographs and videos.
If you cannot find the right carpet
If nothing in Dubai suits you, we can check availability at our Tehran branch and send you the actual details and photographs of what we find. If the right carpet does not exist at all, we can have one custom-made to your size and design.
Step 3: Try it at home (optional)
With our Free Home Trial, you can choose up to four carpets and see them in your own space before you decide:
- Choose your carpets on the website.
- Submit the Free Home Trial form with your details, preferred date and time.
- Our team calls you to confirm.
- We bring the carpets to you, and you decide which one, if any, you want to keep.
The Home Trial is available across the UAE and there is no obligation to buy. Eligibility can depend on the carpet and the location, and the carpets remain ours until the purchase is finalised, so please treat them with care during the trial.
Step 4: Pay
Prices are shown in UAE dirhams (AED) and include VAT where applicable. You can pay:
- By card: Visa, Mastercard or American Express, online or in the showroom.
- Cash on delivery in the UAE. Cash on delivery is also available in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.
- In instalments with Tabby or Tamara (UAE).
- By payment link, which we can send on request.
You receive a tax invoice for your purchase. Keep it with your certificate, as together they form the carpet's record.
Step 5: Delivery
Delivery is free anywhere in the UAE on orders over AED 150. Orders are typically delivered within 1–3 business days anywhere in the UAE. Delivery times are estimates, and shipments are not processed on Sundays or public holidays.
- Building access: if your building needs a move-in permit or a lift booking, please arrange it before the delivery date.
- Inspect on delivery: check the carpet's size, design and condition when it arrives and tell us immediately about any visible issue.
- International orders: delivery outside the UAE can be arranged on request. Import duties, taxes and clearance charges in the destination country are the customer's responsibility.

Step 6: Your certificate of authenticity
Every handmade carpet we sell comes with an Azimzadeh Certificate of Authenticity, with no issuance fee. It is prepared once your purchase and invoice are finalised, and sent to the address you give us. It carries the carpet's photograph, specifications and GS1 product identifier, and its NFC cover opens the carpet's information page when you tap it with a compatible phone. See how to verify a carpet certificate.
After your purchase
- Returns: you can request a return within seven calendar days of delivery, provided the carpet is unused, unwashed and in its original condition. Custom-made carpets and items marked final sale are excluded unless they arrive damaged, defective or materially different from their description. Please read the full return and refund policy.
- Damage in transit: report any damaged, defective or incorrect item within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs.
- Care: see our carpet care guide. When your carpet needs it, we offer professional cleaning, repair and restoration.
Buying for a project
If you are furnishing a villa, a hotel, an office or another project, or you are an interior designer sourcing for a client, send us the floor plan and the brief. We can prepare options across several rooms, and you can request a quote online. See our page for interior designers.
